Lagos sets to teach SS3 students via radio, TV due to coronavirus outbreak

Lagos State Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo has revealed that they are making arrangements for SS3 candidates preparing for the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) to be taught some core subjects via radio and television.

However, during her interview,’ the commissioner said teachers would pre-record lessons in eight subjects for live broadcast on radio, television and online. The core subjects are: English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Literature-In-English, Financial Accounting and Economics.

 Furthermore, Folashade also advised public and private schools to adapt with the closure of schools in the state, added;

 

 “You know in our classes there are lots of children and children will always play with each other.

“So it is to protect our children; we agreed that all schools should just shutdown.”
