Soldiers of the Division 1 of the Nigerian Army installed on ‘attacks Thunder Strike’, on Monday, September 2, successfully arrested a suspected ‘notorious ‘ kidnapper, Aminu Mallam alias Baderi, in Kaduna state.
Baderi, as stated by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), was arrested after the soldiers stormed two kidnappers camps in Chikun local government area of the state.
The report quoted a reliable military source as disclose that the haras on the muggers’ camps located in Ligari and Sabon Gayan villages was carried out at about 2.30 pm.
“During the attack , a suspected high profile kidnapper, terrorising the Kaduna-Abuja highway, one Aminu Mallam alias Baderi, was arrested at Sabon Gayan.
“The suspect later led group to his hideout where he kept 108 herds of cattle he rustled.
“Efforts are currently ongoing to arrest other members of his group and collaborators,” the source reported .
It was learnt that the victims of the robbers attack were travellers on the now deadly Abuja-Kaduna expressway.
Jibrin Adamu, a commercial driver plying the expressway, who escaped the attack said that the bandits also kidnapped dozens of some of the travellers along Olam farm at about 5.30 pm.
Meanwhile, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano state recently reported that arrested kidnap kingpin, Hamisu Bala Wadume, made a big mistake taking refuge in the state.
