ANY SOUTHERN BUSINESSMAN THAT RECEIVED THE KIND OF SUPPORT DANGOTE RECEIVED FROM FG WOULD BE THE RICHEST MAN IN THE WORLD TODAY – FFK TO ELRUFAI

Former aviation minister Femi Fani-Kayode is of the opinion that a businessman from southern Nigeria would have easily emerge world’s richest man if received the amount of support Aliko Dangote (current richest man in Africa) receives from the federal government.

Fani-Kayode was reacting to a purported speech by Kaduna State Governor, Nasir Elrufai, that it was a thing to thank God for, the fact that a businessman from northern Nigeria still maintains the top spot in Nigeria’s rich list.

El-Rufai was quoted to have said this on Saturday, July 6 at the Northern Youth Summit in Kaduna organised by Northern Hibiscus.

The Kaduna Governor aslo described  Nigeria as two countries in one, saying while the south is developing, the north has remained backward.

But reacting, chief Fani-Kayode reminded the Governor that it was due to federal government’s support that Dangote still remained at the summit of Nigeria and Africa rich list.

According to him, any southern businessman would have surpassed that feat if given the sort of support Dangote has enjoyed over the years.

“The richest businessman in Nigeria is still Dangote not someone from Southern Nigeria, thank God for that”- @elrufai.

Any southern businessman that received the kind of support that Dangote received from FG’s over the last 40 yrs would be the richest man in the WORLD today.” FFK tweeted.
